AerVPN sends your traffic through one of its servers. Sites then see that server's address and city instead of yours.

Questions
Why does the location show the wrong city?
IP addresses are registered to providers, not to homes. Databases guess the area the provider serves, which can be off by a city or more.
Can my IP address change?
Yes. Most home and mobile connections get a new address after a restart or now and then. A VPN replaces it with the server's address while it's on.
Do you store my IP address?
No. The page is built when you open it and nothing about the visit is saved. No cookies, no analytics scripts.
